# The Trigger System Our trigger system expands the functionality of your bot. It allows you to create new custom trigger words each with its instructions on how you want the bot to reply.

They can also be used as an alternative to Automod used to share information about your project, but the accuracy of the responses may not be as good. If you want the bot to trigger randomly you can also use the ***/set\_self\_awareness*** command to do so with a probability between 0-100%.
